Girls, We Are Worthy

At the age of thirty when I was very much single, I went by 3 theorems and some postulates.

Despite the women and the new millenium thing or the seeming greater ratio of women to men ,

I still tell my single pretty girlfriends that no matter what age you would be in (biological clocktick tock),
you still deserveD to be courted, pursued and given the time in the world because:

1. Nature willed it. Im just not sure if it was John Gray or Dr. Phil or Tyra who said these but I truly remember what was said. “… in the process of procreation think of the legendary number of sperm cells running after one egg cell” or some thing to that effect.

1-1.so the next time a guy thinks he is such a hottie and you are but trash, think of the greater number of him running after that just ONE part of you.

1-2. you are uniquely special even nature cannot but agree, so let him court
you and not you, him.

2. greg behrendt said the guy should not be too busy to neglect you for should there be someone busy that would be you because “you will be too busy being adored.”

2-1. “where the heart is unwilling it will find a thousand excuses and where
it isn’t, it will find a thousand ways”

2-2. alexander graham bell invented the telephone , YES? then came the I-
phone , you phone and they phone ,so why doesnt he?

3. My childhood friend’s lawyer husband’s words stuck in my head .”It is always the thrill of the chase” was his answer to the question on why men court the same girl who sometimes do not necessarily appear extraordinary in terms of beauty, talent and pyhsique.

3-1. ” gentlemen start your engines”, give him that race..

3-2. even cheques are not made available all the time, so dont be.

3-3. just as it is of sugar and petroleum, be scarce ,so he may hoard your
kind and search for you wherever you are

3-4 the rosary has five mysteries so why should’nt you have at least one?

The person who truly appreciates you will give his best to make you happy in the same way that you try to make him happy .

He will be very careful not hurt you but make you feel important just as you give him importance.

The person will come.

He will.

Most importantly, pray for wisdom that you may know what His plans for you are.

I was single for a long time, your proverbial NBSB. And being single does not equate being alone and lonely.

Most definitely not.I had a very fun time.I was busy helping my family.

I went out with my girls..loving segafredo, italiannis, red box and watching movies at glorietta 4 (hello trix, marica and joy)..

…meeting up with my cuz jas j at the coffee bean…

…Going to David’s for hair spa. Meeting up with my bestfriend iris at UP.

…Playing badminton with the WIC girls.Hanging out at Powerbooks gbelt.

…Attending community with Emmanuel at gbelt chapel.

…Talking to my mom & sisters on the phone.

…or just piggin out, staying in the apartment with my flatmates..

I met my man at thirty and was highly elated to walk the aisle at thirty one.

I was changing diapers at thirty three.

And presently I am planning to have some more of this joy they call kids.

Those different milestones in my life gave me different kinds of HAPPY.

So whether single or married always put value in yourself and know what your worth is.

And besides as my lola inday there in catarman camiguin said

“you are a creation of God, your whole being, your knowledge, and everything that is you …so does God make something ugly and worthless?”

( her words actually were in bisaya of course” Gi gama gud ka sa ginoo, imong pagkatawo, imong hibalo, ug tanan tanan nga nasa imo, ag himo ba diay ang ato Ginoo sa pangit ug walay pulos”)
