If The Shoe, Feet.

There would be shoes , shoes and more shoes

Just as it is in relationships, we tend to seek out the HAPPY shoes, those which most likely would not hurt us and those which would last.

I have four brand of shoes/slippers in mind when I seek comfort and durability.

The shoes/ slippers that even Cinderella would come back for , if they were left behind.

My husband is a great fan of Nike , if you remember my post

“Chronicles of A Sneakerhead”

1. So am I…..

Good thing Tobie Hatfield brought in the technology called Nike Free, with which most of my rubber shoes are made of.

Nike also came up with slippers

and something from the goddess Nike , herself:

(The goddess handed it over to my husband through Gabby’s Closet 🙂

2. I am enamored with the Technology and Art behind:

I have Dr. David Cook and Darren James two biomechanists to thank for , for the Toning Science they made for Marcia Kilgore, the founder of FitFlops.

They are aptly called Ultimate slippers and they make me walk for hours:

3. I also have deep affection for the Science behind the ” light rubber” called Crocs:

It is a foam resin which they call Croslite.

I love Crocs most especially when they said “Love us for our Sole and not our Looks.

I am a HUGE fan of CROCS,

While my son Rafa, on the other hand,.

is a fan of HUGE Crocs.

4. I have earnest attachment for the light weight Argentine Alpargata (espadrille) inspired shoes of TOMS which carries the tagline:

It does makes a difference though , knowing that you would be willing to pay a little more for comfortable shoes and share it with a child in need.

I realized too, that as I got older, I now tend to gravitate towards the comfortable shoes rather than the fashionable ones. (But of course sometimes, I am fortunate to get both.)

This suddenly reminds me of Steven Morrissey who said,

“Age shouldn’t affect you. It’s just like the size of your shoes – they don’t determine how you live your life! You’re either marvelous or you’re boring, regardless of your age.”
